First think I notice is that everything is so very very colorful, with strong purple and gold tones, which of course really makes the image pop out. The second thing I notice is that the whole thing is well composed with s center of golden rays, the purple clouds keeping your eye from floating off the top of the page, and a plant redirecting the gaze back up to the center. Great visual movement. The third thing that I notice is that the whole image is in focus, which gives you lots of lovely eye candy to look at. Overall, it is a delightful piece to look at.

A couple things cross my mind though. First, I notice that the water is crisp, and while it may just be a personal preference on my part, I'll say that I really like the way water looks when the waves create a little motion blurr, it makes the image look more painted, and with the vibrant colors you are using, I think that would go well with the composition. But like I said, that might just be a personal preference thing. The second thing I notice is that the image is very centered and this kind of arrangement, wile lovely, has been done a lot. Variety is the spice of life right? Well I think that the picture might... just MIGHT look a little better if it wasn't so perfectly centered... might add interest because it wouldn't look quite like the same arrangement everyone else does.

I'm only mentioning those though as things to think about with future images, because truth be told, this is lovely just as it is too. I'm only suggesting things to consider... over all, this is a wonderful shot. Thank you much for sharing it with us.

Thank you very much for suggesting me things and you are right about the water motion. In this case it wasn't really possible though. It was windy and I had to use fairly fast shutter speed to prevent any motion on the flowers. Of course I could have done a complicated blending job but I honestly have to say I am not that good with Photoshop and I want to minimize the time spent on processing photos.

Here I thought the flowers positioned in the center would make a much stronger composition than if they were to the right or to the left so I positioned them to the middle.

Thank you again for the very constructive comment and I appreciate it a lot!

You're welcome. Yes, I see how you feel, it was just a suggestion to try off center... because while it has a great effect, it has been done a lot... then again, you have to ask yourself if it really matters that everything you do is totally unique? Some things are done a lot because the look good after all.

I know what you mean about the wind. Darn.

1. think of impractical idea, 2. decide its awesome, 3. come up with a "plan" at the last minute.

I normally try to compose off-center. But in this case I found the centered composition the best.
I did take different compositions too though.
Yeah, I know these kind of pictures with the flowers in the foreground are done a lot but in my opinion this one has a special lighting :)

Yes, it does, like I said, I love it, I just thought I would say something constructive, and let you knwo why I didn't give it a high score on originality... but like I said, that's fine, some times things are done a lot because they just look good.
