At the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument, Painted Hills unit, this is something I had been looking forward to visiting for ever, and I think you can all see why.

Beautiful capture. I like the addition of the green plants in the foreground too.

Did you catch it a little wet or something? When I was there this time last year it wasn't quite that vibrant. It's an awesome place regardless though.

No... there was a filter on the camera... not my camera... can't tell you what filter... and the hills were apparently in "full bloom" and that might have had something to do with it. :shrug: Thank you very much. Maybe because it was getting close to sunset when I took the picture. Thank you.
