Azure shadows by bypolar-bear Azure shadows by bypolar-bear
This was taken at Tillamook after the thunderstorm... Alyssa and I were both using my camera that day... and it has been so long, I can't truthfully say which of us took this shot... it may have been her and it may have been me. She took less pictures than I did, but most of hers were during the twilight time... so... yeah... I know I touched it up myself, getting rid of the dust and sand spots on the lens that accumulated from the windy storm, and darkening the edges to frame it a little...... So I'll just say we both took it. Hows that? Anyway, it is for the sunset and sunrise contest being held by :iconmartin1110: =martin1110 [link]

Beautiful capture! I just love the colors.
It seems to me that the horizon isn't completely straight though.

Thank you... No, the horizon is straight... but it looks slanted because of the rock on the side that gives the impression of it being slanted. I am never quite sure what to do about pictures like that when taking them... because I don't know if I should go with what it looks like at first glance or what it actually is under inspection... Any suggestions on that?

I understand. Some photos are difficult with that.
I'd personally go with how it looks under inspection :)

This is very beautiful :) I love how ghostly the picture feels. Its almost as if you can't tell if that is water or mist.

Thank you, I like the other worldly quality to shots taken at this time of day.. especially when there is a touch of mist in the air

Nah, I need the tactile awareness of bare finger... I have coped all my life, I'll continue to do so. You should hear me fret during the snow when I'm taking pictures though. Now THAT is cold.
